Sorry it's been so long since I updated this site, but I've been very busy. Things on the east side are smoked out, horrible air quality. There still are shooting options but just know that there is a lot of smoke. I'm not sure where it's from, maybe the Idaho fires. . .
In any event, this is the week, and next, to be on Logan Pass for wild flowers! Odds are that we will get a snowfall or a hard freeze in the by September or just during the first week. That wont kill off the flowers, but it's best to get up there now!
You will still get some great shots with the smoke. Check out the 2009 Montana Magazine Calendar, this cover shot of mine was taken during the Red Eagle fire (check it out here: http://www.farcountrypress.com/details.php?id=381).
While you're here, I'll give you a heads up, keep an eye out for the 100 year Glacier Anniversary Book, it's set for release any time now. I've got the cover and many more shots on the inside. The publishers tell me it's a fantastic looking book, i think it well retail for about $40 from Farcountry Press in Helena, MT.
Here's a couple of shots from recent days.
If youre ever in East Glacier Park, stop in at the Villager, across from the trains station where you can few some of my images in the "Glacier Impressions" Gallery. We plan a grand opping for Labor Day weekend. . . If youre around the Park, stop by and say Hi to me, Gina Rink, or Bob Rummel.
Cheers!
Tony
